I’m quite in love with the first peony bloom. I can’t wait to see a bunch of them a few years down the road. It brights up my desk a bit.

Speaking of which my new job has me working 60+ hours a week. Not a lot of time for posting, or activities to post about for that matter!

POPSICLE STICKS

I remember as a kid, going to places like CVS or the local grocery store and wandering my way into the art supply aisle (right next to or across from the toy aisle). I remember them hazily clear in my head on the shelf with the glitter glue, poster-boards and paints.

Well, in my daily errands today I decided to pick some up for when I start my little garden seeds. I was in the supermarket - no dice. Went to the dollar store – no dice, I even went to CVS – no dice (couldn’t even find tongue depressors). I even stopped into this bizzaro medical supply store and they had tongue depressors. HOWEVER – it was like, $6.50 for 500. I don’t need 500, they had them sold individually for .10 cents but seriously, I am thinking that I could just go and buy a package of, oh say – 50 of them for under $2. That is IF I could find them. YES YES YES I know, any art supply monstrosity would carry them BUT there wasn’t one to be run across in my errands and I was NOT going to a major route for them. Actually I still refuse. My next stop is Benny’s and if they don’t have them?

Domestic Recap – A Pirate’s life in 2008

2008 was a very well rounded and adventurous year. Let us take a look back to try and predict what 2009 will have in store for us.

We learned early in the year that we really can share the love tonight and every night.

We learned that even within’ our own circle of friends, we have some celebraty look-alikes.

Not everyone loves rockband…

The Capt’n’ has a long standing history of dressing like a woman.
